Pauseful Support
Need help with Pauseful? You're in the right place.
What does Pauseful do?
Pauseful shows a brief, mindful pause before you open the apps you choose to be mindful about,
with a personal reminder of what matters to you. You then decide — consciously — whether to
continue. It never locks you out.
Why does Pauseful need Screen Time access?
Pauseful uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) to show your pause screen on the apps you
select. That's the only way iOS lets an app do this. Pauseful cannot see your activity inside other
apps, your messages, or your browsing.
How do I choose or change which apps show a pause?
Open Pauseful → the Shield tab → choose your apps. You can add or remove apps anytime.
How do I turn Pauseful off?
Remove your selected apps in the Shield tab, or turn off Screen Time access in
iOS Settings → Screen Time. You can also delete the app at any time.
Does Pauseful collect my data?
No. Pauseful has no accounts, no servers, no ads, and no tracking. Everything stays on your
device and never leaves it. See our
Privacy Policy.
Pauseful isn't showing pauses — what's wrong?
1) Make sure you granted Screen Time access (iOS Settings → Screen Time).
2) Make sure you've selected at least one app in the Shield tab.
3) Screen Time features only work on a real device.
